Wayne Gretzky had a coach. Michael Jordan had a coach. Joe Montana had a coach. Heck even Tiger Woods has a coach. In fact, every athlete and sports teams has a coach. Why? Because a coach helps bring the best out of you!
I've been coaching clients for almost 10 years, and each of them can tell you the benefits of having one, but up until recently, I didn't have a coach myself! I too was caught up in the mentally that "I could do it myself", "no one could train me better than I could", "this is my job, why would I hire a coach to help me", but over the last year, I've noticed that with a newborn son at home, two businesses on the go, and family commitments, my own training had been slacking.
Through two friends of mine, my life crossed paths with one of the best Coaches out there, Scott Abel (www.scottabel.com). Scott was actually in town a few weeks back for a seminar and a workshop and I got to share quite a bit of time with him learning and implementing new training philosophy's and structures that even surprised me. Right then I new that my journey with Scott over the next year was going to be great.
Over the last couple of weeks, Scott has taken the time to design me a new diet program, and a very innovated and new training program. For once in a long time I have a new spark and love for training once again! I have trained myself for a bodybuilding competition years back, I had
always done my own training back when I played competitive hockey, and up until now, I've always done my own homework so to speak. But to speak first hand, having a coach on my side for once has been the best decision I've made so far.
My best advice for anybody out there looking to get into great shape, or even to make a change in their life, is to go out and find themself a GOOD Coach! You won't regret it.
